Every business begins long before the paperwork.

Mine began with a promise.

Long before I knew what business I wanted to build, I knew the kind of life I wanted. I wanted to build a life where I could stand on my own feet, where I’d be able to care for myself, support
my family, and one day create opportunities for others.

Rather than focusing on specifics of what business to create or obsessing over a single idea, I moved through my youth with a promise to myself: one day, I’d build something that was truly mine.

Years later, here I am celebrating my Say Cheers.

At the time, a golden opportunity presented itself. Appreciation for premium wines and spirits was gaining momentum. What I saw was a large gap in the market. Wine was being sold, but the market lacked businesses dedicated to delivering a premium wine experience. I believed customers deserved more than a transaction, they deserved an experience.

Looking back, I realise that Say Cheers wasn’t born because I just wanted to sell wine, I desired to build something with purpose: a premium experience with wines and spirits.

Today, that same promise guides every decision I make. Products may evolve, markets may change, but my values haven’t changed and my search for excellence is timeless.

For me, business has never been just about what we sell. It has always been about what we stand for.
