In the hills of Garden-et-Tourtirac, Château La Pierrière is a 13th century architectural gem surrounded by a dry moat carved from the rock. The estate has belong to the De Marcillac family since 1607. The terroir is conducive to producing high quality wines, since the property is adjacent to Saint-Emilion and shares the same limestone rock particularly suited to cultivating Merlot.
